Frank is in California and expected home next month for a furlough. Ernest remains in China at Tientsin on machine gun duty and planned to return on leave in March. William Young dies after brief illness at 31
William Young formerly of Arcady Farms Milling Co died of pneumonia at Roseland Community Hospital on Saturday December 22 after a weeklong illness. He had moved from Buffalo to Riverdale three years ago and worked as head miller at Arcady Farms Milling Co. He was a member of Coldale Lodge of the Odd Fellows and attended funeral services in a body. The funeral was at Doty’s Funeral Parlors Roseland with interment at Mount Greenwood. He leaves a wife his mother four brothers and a sister.

Night of Accidents Slippery Pave Hurts Motorists
On Christmas night icy Sibley boulevard saw B F Mills suffer a skull fracture after skidding into a concrete abutment near Camp Grounds at Berger. John Lobodzinski wrecked his Chevrolet on Lincoln avenue while trying to avoid a freight train, with minor injuries. Two other skidding drivers proceeded at the Lincoln curve near Irwin avenue. Louis Baker ended up on a sidewalk wedged between a tree and fence, and another driver halted in Al Ehlert’s yard after a skid.
