Northern Illinois Gas to Lift Gas Heat Restrictions in 1960
Northern Illinois Gas Company seeks state approval to extend natural gas heating to up to 80 000 single family homes in 1960 and to 15 000 multi unit buildings plus non-residential sites. The plan adds 147 million cubic feet daily, bringing total supply to 662 million, with 12 months to install once authorized.

Officers Nab Two Teens In Stolen Car Case
Riverdale officer Miles arrested Ron Van derBrink 18 and Ronald Mass 19 from Roseland for a December 8 theft in Evergreen Park. They sped, were found in a stolen vehicle with stolen plates taken from Park Ridge residents. The case moved to Evergreen Park. both pleaded guilty. Mass got 90 days, VanderBrink 15 days in County jail.
