Betty Frost, 38, and passengers Agnes Williams, 62, and Janice Frost, 13, were in a car struck by Harold F. Burns, 46, at the intersection of 154th and Chicago Rd. Burns was arrested by Dalton police for tireless driving. Eleven feet of skid marks were visible.

A three vehicle chain reaction crash occurred on December 6 in Dalton. James Avans, 20, of 13704 Lexington, was arrested for following too close after Avans rear ended Millard F. Springer, 15241 Grant, who had halted at 1031 E. Sibley to allow the car ahead to turn. Also in Avans’s car were Alvin Burns, 20, 14804 Honore. Lloyd Houston, 18, 72 W. 151st. William E. Murphy of Fraser Michigan was ticketed December 6 by Riverdale Police for failing to stop at a red traffic signal after his car collided on 138th Street at Halsted. Murphy allegedly drove south on Halsted through the red light and struck the left rear fender of another vehicle driven by Howard J. Manley of Chicago Heights, whose car was eastbound on 138th Street.
