Two petitions seeking disconnection from the village of South Holland were examined with a survey by village attorney William Jans. Neither petition met the required 50 percent thresholds. 61 electors signed, 21 for disconnection, 32 against, six signed neither, two signed both. Areas include Emerald 161st to 161st, Union 151st to 162nd, and 161st from Halsted to Vincennes.

Judge Thomas Harper of Dalton fined William Nowry 200 dollars for piloting a plane that caused 50 complaints by police.
