Navy Demobilization Ends September 1st Plan
Secretary James Forrestal announced that since V J Day the Navy and Marine Corps demobilized 3 924 620 commissioned and enlisted personnel. In August 231 250 more will be released, totaling over 3.5 million from August 14 1945 to September 1 1946.
