Veterans Parade Ends Utah Encampment with a Grand Review
In Salt Lake City on August 11 the Grand Army of the Republic held a major encampment parade led by the Fifteenth United States infantry and Utah National Guard. Four thousand schoolchildren formed a living flag as Gov. William Spry, Commander Henry M. Nevins, and other dignitaries reviewed veterans amid emotional scenes and patriotic pageantry.
