Dr Gallegos Walter May and Leonard Sutherland left for a two week vacation in Leland Michigan. Mrs Henry Gundaker and daughter Emma left for Erie Pennsylvania to visit relatives. Ernest and Alfred Kramer hosted a birthday party July 24 for many young guests.
Miss Margaret Blink a trained nurse spent Tuesday in South Holland and left Wednesday for Kansas to take a position at the National Military Home. Barry Yoma and family returned home after weeks in Michigan. Misses Carrie and Cora Bardwick came home Tuesday from Colorado where they stayed with Mrs. R. A. Palmer of Denver. Miss Minnie DeBoer returned to Leota Minnesota after months with relatives.

The Robert Vyverberg family stay with the Frank Vyverberg family at Saranac Michigan. Mrs. Playmert entertained relatives from Iowa. Morse Van Drunen and family motored to Springfield Illinois on Tuesday.
G. W. Spencer Corps No. 279 holds a pot luck picnic at Riverdale Park on Tuesday August 19 starting at 11 o clock. Members are invited to attend and bring children. The next regular meeting is Friday August 15.
