Dolton village trustees meet August 1 to hear health alerts about typhoid fever and railway noise. They approve licenses, discuss light repairs, and authorize a 985 foot water main project at 6.234 cents per foot to be finished by November 1.
Sunday August 7 masses at 7 and 10 30 general Holy Communion for both Sodalities the League of the Sacred Heart and the First Communicants. At 8 30 A M initiation of the First Communicants into the Sodality of the Blessed Virgin Mary with lecture and Benediction before the Blessed Sacrament.
Dolton M E Church lists Sunday School at 9 45 a m church service at 11 a m with Water of Life as the sermon topic and an evening service at 7 45 p m on Heartfelt Religion. The Chicago and Southern Traction Company announces an annual excursion to Kankakee to connect with the C I S RR for a Niagara Falls trip on August 10. The round trip from Chicago Blue Island or Harvey will be only 3.60 dollars.

The Blinkies lost 8 to 4 to the Clovers at Palmer Park on Sunday morning. Nagel starred with the bat. Blinkies claim the Clovers were late and offered 9 to 0 forfeit. They schedule a Sunday rematch against the Circle A's of Homewood at Riverdale.
One of the neighborhood’s oldest residents, Fredrick Bachmann, died Sunday July 31, 1910 aged 84 years 9 months 26 days. Funeral held Wednesday August 3 with interment at Berger Cemetery. An obituary to be printed in the Pointer’s next issue.

A large gathering of friends held last Saturday evening at the Dalton residence of Mrs Louisa Mebler to honor her 50th birthday. She has long served at the Dalton post office and was presented with many gifts as a joyful celebration concluded.
