Dolton trustees met April 23 with all members present except Clerk Dolton. Permission was granted for a water connection to a residence at 147th street and the Calumet river. Street oiling plans were discussed with Hayes Co price at 4.7 cents per gallon and a 10 000 gallon tank ordered.
Mrs Elizabeth Eidam of 442 Monroe Dalton died April 24 at 10 30 p m after a lingering illness. She was 73. She leaves her husband William one son and two daughters. Funeral services Saturday April 27 at St Pauls church at 2 p m Rev W J Kemnitz officiating Interment Oak Lawn cemetery Thornton
Spoor Cazel Spoor daughter of Mr and Mrs Martin Spoor of 18921 Dearborn Street wed Walter I Maurer son of Mr and Mrs William Maurer of 205 East 138th Street on Wednesday evening April 24 with Rev Waller J Keimnitz officiating. Arnold Spoor and Helen Maurer served as best man and maid of honor. A reception followed at the bride’s home and the couple will live at 13800 Lincoln Avenue.

The Cook County Board of Forest Preserve Commissioners will consider a resolution by President Clay ton F. Smith urging the state sanitary sewer board to enforce pollution laws on streams in the preserve system. The measure lauds Chicago Heights for pursuing a sewage plant with Bloom township district funds to cut Thorn Creek pollution and cites Crete, Steger, Flossmoor, Hazel Crest, Matteson, Tinley Park, Lansing, South Chicago Heights and Thornton as villages to be acted upon.

Real estate dealer Thure Johnson age 51 of Roseland died after his car struck a parked vehicle on 18353 Indiana avenue while traveling north at 11 p m. The other car owner Frank Bodnar 22 of 11914 Lowe avenue Roseland was not injured. Johnson died en route to Roseland Community hospital. an inquest was held at Phillips undertaking chapel on Michigan avenue.
Three persons were injured in auto accidents during the week. Frank Marchie, 7723 Dobson avenue, was hurt Monday morning April 22 at 145th and Halsted when his car ran off the road and overturned causing a cut to a blood vein in his left arm. Riverdale police transported him to Ingalls Memorial hospital. Charles Castriord, 10, 9260 Burnside avenue, suffered facial cuts when the car carrying him and his father overturned at 184th and Halsted Monday at 12 45 and was taken to the Riverdale police station for first aid. R Ankle was thrown from a hay wagon Monday afternoon during a collision with a car driven by C Panozzo at Halsted street and 138th. Ankle, treated at Ingalls Memorial hospital by William Nottorf, had cuts on his legs and body bruises.
Alderman Arthur G. Lindell of the Ninth ward was named vice-chairman of the traffic and public safety committee and assigned to seven other council committees for four years. He will join a mayoral delegation to the National Rivers and Harbors congress in Washington on May 2 and 3. Lindell plans a special study of traffic accident causes, citing forecasts of Chicago fatalities and injuries for 1985, and aims for cooperation with Chairman John Mason and Mayor Edward A. Kelly.

Police warn of disposal for all loose dogs in Riverdale streets amid rising complaints. Also notes a lost small black spaniel reported near T. C. bridge by Acme Steel Co. with a reward. a missing rosary in a child's case near St Marys church grounds or A and P store with a reward.
The Riverdale village board adjourned the old session and swore in the new board. President Claussen outlined progress in reducing village debt while committees report on drainage, street repairs, and sewer work. Trustee Torpy retires with thanks. new officers to be selected in May.
