Scouting Notes From Troop 74 and 83 Activities
Brownies of troop 74 held a nose bag picnic March 11 at Delton Park field house then toured Milhahn's greenhouse with ivy plants given to each girl. On March 20 they represented France in the Juliette Lowe program at Lincoln School. Troop 83 met April 2 at Ivanhoe Park fieldhouse to discuss cookie sales with Red Cross first aid talk aiding a badge. next meeting planned.

St Francis Auxiliary Meeting and Card Party Plans
The St Francis Hospital Auxiliary met at 1 p.m. at the Blue Island hospital with Mrs Edgard Holzbach chairing hostesses. Mrs John Haase Sr presided as president and nominating chair Mrs James Hickey presented the officer slate to be installed in June. Plans were set to send Mrs John Koenig to the National Hospital Convention in Atlantic City May 18 and another delegate to Palmer House May 4. Reports outlined progress for the May 12 card party and a pantry shower for the sisters, highlighted by a decorative Easter cart filled with jams and jellies. In bowling, Dalton Shoe Clinic led the Pinta Council league as week standings showed high scores by R Wick 490 and H Bell 437, with Arts the Butcher posting 540 and 529 and a 999 game season best as Sullivan and Neighborhood combined on several frames.
