Vote For Good Roads In Thornton Township Election
Voters in Thornton Township face a decision next Tuesday on a local good road tax to build and maintain township roads outside the State Aid system. Broom Township approved a similar proposal four years ago and is expected to again this year. Railroads contribute their share, and highway commissioner John Jaranowski has a solid record. If approved, the tax would fund improving most roads linking villages to farms, benefiting local travel and long term maintenance. The sample ballot is printed in this issue.
