Woman Companion of Doll Slayer Gets 8 to 20 Years
Delia Ann Jones is sentenced to 8 to 20 years for her role in the killing of Austin police Sgt. Gerald Doll. Horton fired the fatal shot. Area Cadet Wins Trophy Named to Honor Neighbor
Cadet William F Quinlan Jr aged 18 of 1059 N Karlow becomes DePaul University’s first cadet to win the Capt Fedele Cicero award for rifle marksman ship. The trophy honors Capt Cicero a Vietnam casualty from 1043 N Lawndale and displays on a DePaul plaque. Both families lived four blocks apart and shared longtime ties to Our Lady of the Angels and St Mel’s High School.

Mrs. Gertrude Cicero widow of Army Captain Fedele Cicero presents the Fedele Cicero Memorial trophy to ROTC Cadet William F Quinlan Jr at DePaul University. Austin police began enforcing an alternate side parking ordinance after two weeks of warnings. The affected streets Madison Chicago North Belmont and Cicero restrict parking on one side 3 AM to 7 AM, with harsher rules during snowfall.
