American Savings and Loan opens new Corrales Center branch
Construction starts on the American Savings and Loan branch at Corrales Center with a December 1976 grand opening planned. College Assn Receives Unrestricted Grant From Levi Strauss

Corrales Municipal Judge J Elmore Browne has resigned due to physical disabilities after advice from his physician. Mayor Barbara Christianson accepts with deep regret. Alternate acting judges will be Langford Sproggins and Victor McIntyre. Browne, a Corrales resident since 1967, served as judge since ISTE and contributed to the Community Center. He also served on the Sandoval County Board and was a charter member of Sandoval Masonic Lodge 76.

Republicans to meet in Rio Rancho Friday October 1 1976
A joint gathering of the Rio Rancho Republican Club and the Republican Women's Club will be held Friday October 1 1976 at 7 30 pm in The Auditorium open to all. An election day workshop will be led by a Republican State Headquarters representative. Volunteers from each precinct are sought to serve as watchers and telephone committees. Drivers will provide transit to the polls for those unable to reach polling places. Refreshments will be served.
