From CNM to RN Future Nurse Torrez Faces Long Road to 2014

Rio Rancho CNM student Egina Torrez pursues a six year plan to become a registered nurse by early 2014. She aims to work at the Albuquerque VA hospital and blends nursing study with caregiving for her grandparents and prior work at First Financial Credit Union. Galloping Grace wins zoning to expand at Rio Rancho ranch

Rio Rancho governing body approved changing the 20 acre Sea Road site from estate residential to special use for Galloping Grace Youth Ranch. Owners Max and Michelle Wade described the working educational ranch as free for children to learn about farming, sustainability, and community. Expansion plans include greenhouses and an aquaponics system.
