Local data shows a warm week with highs in the low 80s and patchy moisture. Drainage system not illegal says city engineer

Rio Rancho City Engineer Lowell Lester contests a Sept 15 Albuquerque Journal report claiming a Vista Hills drainage system violates city law. In a letter to FHA official Michael Griego, Lester says Vista Hills meets all ordinances and urges disregard of the article. FHA delay on closings remains possible pending further review by investigators.

Repairs begin on Golf Course Road in Rio Rancho

The Rio Rancho City Council voted to seek 400000 in state emergency relief to repair Golf Course Road flooded September 13.
