State agency hears hospital proposals
Four hospitals sought a certificate of need before the state Health Planning and Development Division. Public input was solicited as Chairman Eldon E Bitter bush noted bed limits rising from 130 to 240. AMI proposed a 125 bed Rio Rancho facility with 8 ICU beds a maternity unit and 107 medical surgical beds at a total project cost of about 10.55 million.
