Rio Rancho Considers Water and Wastewater Rate Hike
Rio Rancho residents face potential rate increases as the city reviews water and wastewater finances. A 7.8 percent yearly rise for five years is recommended to cover operations and maintenance, with 11.8 percent yearly increases needed to fund growth projects. The study notes a dowgraded bond rating and a large capital program of about 159 million dollars through 2016 17. A joint workshop is set for 6 30 p m Wednesday Oct 17 at City Hall to discuss funding and growth impacts.
