Budweiser Clydesdales to Visit Farr's Supermarket

The Budweiser Clydesdales will appear at Farr's Supermarket in Rio Rancho on Thursday from 3:10 to 3:30 PM. Store manager Roger Flenniken, who secured the appearance after years of effort, says the full troupe and attendants will attend, sponsored by Anheuser Busch Budweiser and Farr's. Local resident Bob Mitchell aided the booking.

Crimewatch meeting set for October 14 at City Hall

The Rio Rancho Crimewatch Association will hold a public information meeting Thursday October 14 at 7 p.m. in City Hall. Attendees will learn about the association and the Neighbourhood Watch and Business Watch programs it coordinates. An officer election will follow. Puesta del Sol Elementary begins classes in a $7.4 million facility housing 850 students. A $22,397 Sandoval County grant funds a kindergarten playground for special needs students, with a larger, accessible playground planned for next summer.

Russians to tour Rio Rancho for business training visit

Six Russians who own and direct real estate firms in the Novouralsk region will visit Rio Rancho October 18. Sheriff laments losses of top deputies to rivals

Sandos ad County Sheriff Ray Rivera complains his office has lost three sergeants and one officer. The Rio Rancho Department of Public Safety and Albuquerque Police Department hired two of the officers.
