Police investigate shooting report involving 7 year old
Police probe a Thanksgiving night shooting near Tarpon Road. Ryan Britton, 7, told officers he was struck in the back by an unseen intruder inside a home at 830 Lepus Couts before being driven to a friend’s Albuquerque residence and then to Bernalillo County Medical Center in stable condition. Investigators expect to test evidence and verify the tale, with a .22 caliber handgun suspected. Meanwhile Rio Rancho residents are invited to Faylon Geist’s 3 p.m. recital at Calvary Lutheran Church on December 2 to aid the local Senior Center fund. Geist, a veteran musician with a KU master’s degree, has performed across multiple cities.
