Sandy Jones earns American Farmer Degree at FFA convention
Sandy Jones of Corrales receives the American Farmer Degree at the 48th National FFA Convention in Kansas City. He joins about 1 percent of FFA members, among 703 recipients from 485,000 members nationwide. The award requires leadership, three years of active membership, and earnings from an occupational program. The convention involves 17,000 attendees, with contests and guest speakers, and is run by student members aged 14 to 21.
