LEAP community education expands across Albuquerque with two jazz zercise sessions at Sierra Vista and other offerings at Paradise Hills Abel McBride APS coordinator leads an advisory council including Patsy Nelson and Kay Haile. Fall season brings nature walks and classroom fun as Amiquitos children decorate for Thanksgiving. A trip to Coronado Center for a Southwestern themed Amiguitos Tree, a Maxwell Museum visit for early Southwestern Indian activities, and a tour of Hutchinson Fruit Company are planned with tastings and student involvement in menu planning and crafts.

Corrales Library to host December story hours and hours change
Corrales Library will hold story hours on the first three Saturdays in December from 10 to 11 with Spanish options for bilingual children. The final session includes a piñata party. Library hours will shift to 10 am to 12 noon and 2:30 to 4:30 pm to better serve students, with a call for a Spanish teacher candidate.

Boy Scout Troop Seeks Phone Books for Pickup Drives
Rio Rancho area Troop 714 calls for old phonebooks to be donated for recycling along with monthly newspaper collections. Each book earns five cents for the scout who collects it.
