Rio Rancho Needle Workers seek local charity outlet for hats

A Rio Rancho group has knitted over 20 hats for chemotherapy patients but struggles to find a local outlet. Coordinator Rowena Nichols says hats previously went to Presbyterian in Albuquerque, not local recipients, and volunteers seek Rio Rancho clinics or doctors to accept donations. The hats sit at Vista Grande Retirement Center as the group continues outreach efforts.
