Cougars Build To Open 20-Game Basketball Schedule
Cibola high school men’s basketball opens its 20 game schedule on November 29 at Bernalillo in a natural city rivalry. Five starters return led by Shann Schroer Jim Crossland and Brandon Nafus with depth to be determined. Coach Schroer emphasizes defense early and plans zone looks given a smaller squad, while predicting a faster pace with bigger players able to run the floor. The Cougars and junior varsity squads will also play scrimmages at 9 a.m. on Saturday with varsity games at noon and 4 30 p.m.
