Rio Rancho expands Stolar Research facility plans

Stolar Research Corporation, a high tech maker of radio imaging gear, will expand from Raton to Rio Rancho. The $4 million, 23,500 square foot facility on Innovation Way near NM 528 US 550 will employ at least 25 people with a $1.5 million annual payroll. Local firms will design and build, with construction and related infrastructure expected to exceed $4.3 million in impact and a $375,300 indirect payroll impact, supporting about 5.8 jobs. The project includes Innovation Partners LLC leasing the building after construction.

Intel to donate 40000 to Rio Rancho Public Schools if approved

Sandoval County Commission will vote on distributing 40000 from Intel under the 2004 School-to-Work pact with Intel. If goals are unmet, 100000 goes to the county for public schools. Other allocations include 25000 Bernalillo, 20000 Cuba, 15000 Jemez Valley. Also on the agenda are take-home vehicle policy and budgetary items for fire protection and EMS.
