Keep New Mexico Beautiful Marks 20th Anniversary
Seventy people attended the 20th anniversary meeting at the Amfac Hotel in Albuquerque on October 20 1984 honoring founder Mrs Parker C Kalloch Jr. Governor Toney Anaya praised KNMB and a proclamation named KNMB the state litter prevention clearinghouse. Keynote William R Nash of Keep America Beautiful discussed national programs including Clean Community Systems in NM. Award honors went to Las Cruces Beautification Council Rio Rancho Los Alamos Roswell Truth or Consequences and others. New officers were elected for 84 85 with President Evelyn Prentice and a goal to expand KNMB statewide involvement and education.
