La Cueva Bears rally to claim 5A baseball title

La Cueva pounded Rio Rancho 14-2 at Isotopes Park to finish the season on a 27 game winning streak. Josh McAlister earned the win while Gavin Biswell struggled for the Rams as La Cueva built an early 5-0 lead and chased Matheson by the fourth. Rams catcher Ethan McCranie battled through a sore shoulder and Rio Rancho could not muster more than three hits in the loss.
