This week features a Felician Sisters luncheon fashion show at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish Hall on May 21 with fashion by Classy Lady and the Side Door, a wedding party by Ann's Bridal Shop, and prizes. Memorial Day Parade and Plaque Dedication in Rio Rancho
The Service Veterans Council of Rio Rancho plans the eighth annual Memorial Day Parade on Monday May 30 at 930 am followed by services at Veterans Park and a plaque dedication at Vista Verde Memorial Park. A bronze plaque funded by Vista Verde president David Santillanes will be placed at the base of the 40 foot flagpole in the Valley of Patriots area, surrounded by service banners of the Amy Navy Air Force Coast Guard and Marine Corps. The event will feature more than 50 American flags along Southern Boulevard donated by local businessmen and residents and is open to participation via American Legion Post 118 secretary Ralph Piatek at 892 7730.
