Corrales flood fear eased by SSCAFCA bond plan
SSCAFCA aims to replace outfall pipes at Rio Rancho Dams One and Four with controlled outfalls to the Rio Grande. The project, funded in two phases, could cost about 1.5 million and is included in the bond issue if voters approve. A $1 million loan from the Interstate Stream Commission may be used if the bond passes.

Bond election projects may be reconsidered by SSCAFCA
Elizabeth MacIlhane reports the Southern Sandoval County Arroyo Flood Control Authority may revisit seven proposed flood control projects for a July bond issue. A special meeting was requested by Annette Jones to discuss excluding the Urban Center Ponds, though the April vote had favored not including them. The board plans to discuss the matter at the regular meeting next Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Rio Rancho, noting prior work by Flood Commissioner Johnnie Losack on the ponds.
