Parker Relishes KiMo Theater as Historic Albuquerque Anchor
Parker, former general manager at Albuquerque Site Theatre, now works at KiMo Theatre on Central Avenue. He recalls KiMo’s 1927 opening, its Native American design, and past stars like Sally Rand and Vivian Vance. He notes the theater’s near-tear down fate, its restored interiors, and KiMo’s broad, diverse program from bluegrass to opera and firefighters’ graduations.
