Bruce seeks responsive government in New Mexico race

Water rates vary between communities

Water and sewer charges vary across areas with several notable rates. Bernalillo posts a $10.05 minimum for 12,000 gallons and a $6.50 monthly sewer. Paradise Hills shows $8.00 for 12,000 gallons and $4.00 sewer. Albuquerque area charges include a $3.75 base for 5,000 gallons plus 22 cents per thousand. 12,000 gallons total $5.29. Public funds aid Rio Rancho and Paradise Hills, lowering costs there.

Counties to Receive 12 Million in Revenue Sharing Funds

The next local year will see Bernalillo and Sandoval Counties share a total of 12,017,651 dollars in federal revenue sharing. Rep. Harold Runnels announced the figures, noting Bernalillo County gets 11,496,130 dollars and Sandoval 520,921. Distribution within Bernalillo includes Albuquerque and several pueblos, while Sandoval allocations go to county and local municipalities. Payments are quarterly, starting in October 1974, with subsequent rounds in January, April, and July 1975, as part of a 38.6 million state grant.
