Paradise Hills Arterial Proposals Discussed by City Officials
About 80 Paradise Hills residents heard Albuquerque transportation planners present two six lane arterial routes linking Framway Boulevard to the ET Pueblo bridge and continuing west to the Airport. Alternate 1 would run along Alameda Grant to Paseo del Volcan. Alternate 2 would widen Paradise Boulevard with higher costs and land acquisitions. Public input ends April 4 with a final route decision hoped by year end.

Flood Ordinance Presented To Council In Rio Rancho
Rio Rancho officials and engineering consultant Chuck Easterling unveiled a draft flood control ordinance to the city council on March 22. The plan aims to guide development in floodways, identify hazard areas with new maps, require permits for construction in flood or erosion zones, and set standards to prevent flotation or movement of structures. Easterling described the effort as a first step toward a broader city program, noting cost limits and state and federal help, while stressing the need to keep people out of harm’s way and educate developers and lenders.

Zone Change Hearing Set by Corrales Planning Board
