Corrales resident Pauline Eisenstadt D Sandoval announced last week she will seek re election in the June primary. Fellow Corrales Democrat John Turner announced in December his plan to run for Eisenstadt s District 44 seat in Santa Fe. Candidates must declare intentions to run on April at the county clerk s office in Bernalillo. Eisenstadt highlighted her funding achievements including Paseo del Norte bridge completion and senior citizen centers in Corrales Bernalillo and Rio Rancho.

Corrales Man Behind Tanker In Fatal Albuquerque Crash
A Corrales man, Frank Stiles, 48, driving a tanker, ran a red light at Broadway and Rio Bravo, struck a flatbed truck, causing the tanker to roll twice and erupt into a 90 foot fireball. A van driver, Bryan Welch, 38, was trapped but survived. Stiles was treated and released from UNM Hospital. Broadway Rio Bravo intersection closed as crews rebuilt and repaired lines. No citations issued.
