Taylor Ranch opens with new solar home model
Taylor Ranch, a 1095 acre Northwest Heights development by AMBELL a Bellamah/AMDEC venture, hosts a grand opening featuring a 1750 square foot solar home at 5808 Cambria Road along with models from Dale Bellamah and Candelight Homes. Dignitaries led by Senator Joseph M. Montoya attend as the Information Center debuts. The project plans 1218 single family homes 3489 townhouses 600 apartments plus shopping centers schools parks and an equestrian center over ten years with homes priced from 28 000 to 42 000 in early phases. The solar system uses a Solaron Denver unit storing heat in seven tons of rock and feeding a water heater and furnace while testing energy savings for future homes.
