Judge Overturns Sandoval County Bid Decision in Moriarty Bridge

State District Judge George Perez ordered Sandoval County to award the Gio Encino bridge contract to Harold Dinkel of Dinkel and Associates after ejecting both bids on June 6 amid resident preference disputes. Dinkel’s bid was $191,000, lower than Hasse Contracting’s $195,000. The ruling cited a mandatory public purchases act requirement and Perez did not award damages to Dinkel.
