Wise Recycling center proposal revived at Kmart plaza site
Wise Recycling sought Planning and Zoning Board approval to relocate its manned convenience recycling center from Smiths to the Kmart plaza at 1640 NM 528. A regional Kmart manager reportedly objects after a bad experience with an unmanned center in California. The plan involves a 45 foot trailer accepting aluminum, copper, brass, appliances, batteries, and electronics except TVs. Rio Rancho Recycling opened nearby, offering metal buyback with ID requirements. The board’s decision was delayed past deadline and to be published Sunday.
