Pet blessing at UU Westside Congregation's first ceremony
The Unitarian Universalist Westside Congregation held its first pet blessing last Saturday morning. Rev. Steve Phinney hopes to make it an annual event welcoming all leash or cage-contained pets, including blessings for deceased animals. Participants and their animals, including a corgi and a toy poodle, posed for photos after the ceremony, sharing sentiments about pets as blessings in life.
