DA files motion for sentence correction in Robinson case
District Attorney Louis Valencia filed a motion May 27 asking District Judge Mayor Boucher to reconsider the nine year prison term for Wylie G. Robinson, plus 10 consecutive years for second degree murder and aggravated burglary, arguing the sentence was illegal and lacked restitution. The motion contends pre sentence reports were late and deprived the state of opportunity to challenge them, and that state rules require timely reports before sentencing. Joyce Webster Reed, victim’s daughter, appeared at a May 23 subcommittee hearing and spoke against the leniency of the sentence.
