Sandoval County MCHP Wins Continued State Support Plan

Sandoval County's Maternal and Child Health Program earned authorization to continue as a state model with a $238 600 grant from the New Mexico State Department of Health for 1993 94. The program expands a Healthy Schools project, family crisis outreach, transportation via the MOM van, and a health services directory while adding aims for school and community based health education and expanded OB GY N services.

Jail director resigns amid sexual misconduct allegations

Two corrections officers at Sandoval County Detention Center were put on paid administrative leave as sexual misconduct claims involving a female inmate surface.
