State education jobs website now on-line

New Mexico education career information is now accessible via www.newmexicoeducationjobs.com. The site lists teaching and administrative openings by district, free to local education agencies and higher education, and will be maintained by the SDE Special Education Office. It addresses teacher shortages with federal funding under IDEA. Dr. Robert Pasternack notes the service helps districts find qualified instructors and allows educators to explore opportunities within the state.
