Rio Rancho city councilors unanimously approved Construction Southwest LLC site plan for a two phase assisted living facility south of Southern Boulevard. Phase one includes a 16,400 square foot single story 30 bed unit on one acre and phase two a 41,000 square foot two story 68 bed main building plus six cottages. About 25 percent require memory care. Residents receive meals housekeeping utilities and transportation. In other action councilors heard Santa Ana Star Center GM Gunnar Fox report that the New Mexico Mustangs hockey team drew a record 4211 fans.
