AMREP Corp moves its real estate headquarters from New York to Rio Rancho. Four Jemez Valley board seats up for election
Voters in the Jemez Valley Public Schools district will choose four board members in the February 5 election. Rio Rancho residents in the district can vote, with about 780 students in the Rio Rancho portion and 535 in the traditional Jemez area. County jail expansion eyed as self supporting by 1992 93
Sandoval County corrections officials expect the new 96 bed jail to be self supporting by fiscal year 1992 93 with projected annual profit of 53700 and no operating cost to the county. Current costs run 950000 yearly with 840440 expected January through June 1992. The facility will host federal prisoners at 60 per day and misdemeanants at 40 per day. Ground breaking planning proceeds with design to be completed soon.
