Rio Rancho firefighter and captain face DWI charges
Two Rio Rancho Fire Rescue Department members are charged with DWI related offenses after incidents in Albuquerque. Capt. Jeremy Martinez, 34, with 10 years on the force, was arrested after allegedly running a stop sign. He posted a $2,750 bond and was placed on paid leave. Mary Ann Philips, 30, a nearly five year veteran, was arrested for aggravated DWI, lane violations and open container after an Albuquerque officer observed swerving, bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and alcohol odor.
