Free seven week program helps families prevent violence
Lincoln Middle School hosts Strengthening Multi ethnic Families and Communities a free seven week violence prevention training starting Monday. Classes run Mondays 6 to 8 pm at 2287 Lema Road with activities for children 5 to 17 and sessions for all ages. Health care career pathway offered to RRHS sophomores
Rio Rancho High School launches a three year health care career pathway open to sophomores with a 2.5 GPA and good attendance. Local health businesses partner with teachers to develop curriculum and offer senior internships plus a new junior course on health care ethics and skills. Obituary: Michael J. Valerio of Rio Rancho Dies at 92
Michael John Valerio, 92, longtime Rio Rancho resident since 1976, died Sunday February 18 2001. Born June 24 1908 in New York City, he was a FHA building inspector before retirement and served in World War II. He belonged to American Legion Post 118 Rio Rancho. Survived by daughter Muriel Battiston and husband Nina, two grandsons Michael and Philip Battiston, and two great grandchildren Susanna and Ronn. Visitation February 21, rosary, Mass February 22 at St Thomas Aquinas. private interment at National Cemetery Santa Fe. Arrangements Vista Verde Mortuary.
