An ATS year-old male driver in McKinney Texas on October 15 1966 set a dubious mark by receiving 10 traffic tickets four wrong-way drives four hit and runs and 81 accidents within about 20 minutes The incident reportedly earned a Guinness World Records citation for extreme driving behavior.
Republican Joe Skeen, Lincoln County rancher and former state senator, announces his bid for the GOP gubernatorial nomination. He cites leadership, energy policy, and New Mexico’s future, stressing the need to balance oil and gas demands with citizens’ long term interests.
Voters in the Village of Los Ranchos will go to the polls on March 5 to elect a mayor three trustees a treasurer and a municipal judge. Municipal judge and two trustees will serve four year terms while the mayor one trustee and the treasurer will serve two year terms. Polls open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Village Hall.
Frank Coppler executive director of the New Mexico Municipal League will address Rio Rancho residents on incorporation. He will answer questions from the floor after the talk. The meeting is open to all residents and set for 7 30 p m at the Rio Rancho Auditorium on Tuesday February 19.
