Rio Rancho adopts animal ordinance changes in split vote
The Rio Rancho Governing Body passed amendments to the animal ordinance by a 4-2 vote at City Hall, lifting the ban on selling cats and dogs in pet stores with limits, easing circus animal exhibitions, and allowing show breeders to keep up to 12 animals. Final reading takes effect Dec 22.
