Legislators Address Paradise Hills Group at December Meeting
Representative Hal Stratton told Paradise Hills Civic Association members on December 6 that funding for the Montano and El Pueblo bridges remains a key issue with estimates of five to six million needed for Montano and about ten million toward El Pueblo. He cited a 6 to 3 City Council majority in favor of Montano funding and noted El Pueblo could be in “super shape” with about 30 million more needed. Senator Joe Carraro urged timely action and urged residents to get more involved in the Civic Association as a safety through numbers. Stratton predicted Gene Lamberson as next speaker and questioned Governor and Judicial Council roles while arguing against unnecessary environmental impact studies for bridges.
