Neighbor Boutans Grow Hydroponic Tomatoes At Home

A local couple, [Boutan], and his wife Louise, operate two greenhouses to grow hydroponic tomatoes and other produce along Northbourth Street in Coward Corrales Road. They cultivate about 2,000 plants at a time, recirculating water, using gravel beds and plastic piping, with plants transplanted from vermiculite pots into gravel beds. The setup aims to conserve water and support two yearly crops starting in July and January.

Minnesota survey finds women top users of mood drugs

The Minnesota survey of 2,500 women shows middle class housewives as the biggest users and potential abusers of mood altering drugs. Tranquilizers and barbiturates lead, with stimulants and appetite suppressants common in households. Most users are aged 25 to 50, married, and not employed outside the home. The study frames this as coping behavior to daily pressures, urging focus on root causes rather than symptoms.
