Fourth Annual New Mexico Wine Festival in Bernalillo
The 4th annual New Mexico Wine Festival runs Labor Day weekend August 31 to September 2 in Bernalillo. It features 16 New Mexico wineries, tastings, a juried art show, live entertainment, and Southwestern foods from noon to 6 p.m. daily at Caminos del Pueblo. admission is $6 for adults and $3 for children with free entry for kids under 12.

Enchanted Hills near capacity say principal
Enchanted Hills Elementary and Middle School Principal Carl Leppelman told the Jemez Valley Public Schools Board that enrollment is rising toward a projected capacity of 839. As of August 20 enrollment stood at 800 with classes set to begin August 26 and a waiting list of about 200 students. The district plans six portable classrooms by September 9.
