Mass Ascension of Balloons at Rio Rancho Event
Rio Rancho Community Day on July 12 will feature at least 12 hot air balloons provided by the World Balloon Association of Albuquerque. The daylong program along Southern Blvd includes a parade with bands Indian dancers and the American Legion Drum and Bugle Corps plus performances by two Mariachi groups a rock band square dancing and evening dancing from 7 to 9. The event is sponsored by Fraternal and service clubs the Residents Association and the Homeowners Civic Association.
