Rio Rancho High to add black box theater project

Rio Rancho High School will get a 200 seat black box theater after a nearly 41.5 million contract was approved by the Rio Rancho Public Schools Board. The space will include a control room, dressing rooms, and storage, allowing smaller productions to run in parallel with the 600 seat Performing Arts Center. Construction aims for completion by December using district bond funds, aiding parity with Rio Rancho’s other high school and expanding arts education.
